Corporate Prayer
Then returned they unto Jerusalem from the mount called Olivet, which is from Jerusalem a sabbath day's journey. And when they were come in, they went up into an upper room, where abode both Peter, and James, and John, and Andrew, Philip, and Thomas, Bartholomew, and Matthew, James the son of Alphaeus, and Simon Zelotes, and Judas the brother of James. These all continued with one accord in prayer and supplication, with the women, and Mary the mother of Jesus, and with his brethren. Acts 1:12-14
" . . . I will make them joyful in my house of prayer... for mine house shall be called an house of prayer for all people." Isaiah 56:6-7
The Bible declares that two are better than one and that a threefold cord is not easily broken. It also says, that if two of you shall agree on earth as touching anything that they shall ask, it shall be done for them of the Father which is in heaven. If this kind of power exist for two, how much more the whole Body.
As a believer we must always realize that we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities and powers of the darkness in this world. With that understanding, we must be equipped and prepared to use the weapons of our warfare, which are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strongholds; casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ.
With one of our most powerful weapons being prayer, which we exercise through, intercession, faith, worship, fellowship, and spiritual warfare, it is a business that we take most seriously. Everything we do is bathe in prayer so that we may obtain the desired results.
